Obituary, Jean Wright Dykeman

Jean Wright Dykeman, of Pawling NY and Jensen Beach Fl. passed from this life on March 13, 2022, to be for all eternity with her Heavenly Father, and her husband, Henry Dykeman.
Jean was born 5/30/1928 to George & Viola Wright in Wicopee NY.
She married her sweetheart, Henry Dykeman on April 13, 1947 . Jean & Henry celebrated 70 years of marriage, prior to him predeceasing her.
Jean was a farm wife and a business partner, a mother, and a “Grandma Jean.” She served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and deaconess at Pawling Central Baptist Church. In her later years, she enjoyed knitting and made hundreds of baby hats for newborns.
She is survived by her brother, George Wright, her children: Ginger Sheldon (Scott), Sandra Matyka (Dennis Abrams) and Wright Dykeman (Beth) and her “bonus” kids: Connie Cornell (Don), Mercedes Stevens (Michael) and Curt “Woody” Woodruff. She was very proud of her grandchildren: Julie Sheldon, Alanda Babbitt (Greg) Jason Sheldon, Candy Osborn (Scott), Henry Dykeman (Mandy) and Daniel Sheldon (Marianne). She is also survived by great grandchildren: Jordan, Brooke, Ana, Nathan, Andrew, Jacob, Mason, Lily and Lucas, and many dear nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Walton Road Baptist Church, Port St. Lucie Fl. Thursday, 3/17 at 7 pm. A Memorial Service will be held in NY at a later date.
Special thanks to Hospice, and her dear friends who remembered her with prayers, notes and kindnesses.
