Cortlandt man arrested for threatening Good Samaritans

PRESS RELEASE

Cortlandt, New York – On April 26, 2015, New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Vincent M. McMorrow, 21 years old, of Cortlandt Manor, New York, for Menacing 2nd Degree, Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, and Resisting Arrest, all Class A Misdemeanors.

Troopers were dispatched to a domestic incident that occurred in the parking area of Mavis Discount Tire. Investigation revealed that McMorrow was arguing with a female party and was approached by several Good Samaritans, concerned for her welfare. McMorrow menaced one of the Samaritans with a broken beer bottle before police arrived on scene. Additionally, McMorrow actively resisted arrest while responding Troopers placed him in custody.

While at the station being interviewed, the defendant continued to act aggressive and kicked a hole in the wall causing damage.

McMorrow was arraigned before the Town of Cortlandt Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
