A traffic stop for using a cell reveals the operator was driving a stolen vehicle.

Town of Hunter – On February 23, 2022, at approximately 2:55 p.m. a trooper from the Catskill barracks observed the operator of an Infinity QX60 using a cell phone while driving on SR 23A in the town of Hunter. The trooper stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Brittany Danko, age 31 of Nanticoke, PA. While speaking with the operator, the trooper learned that the vehicle was reported stolen from Coral Gables, FL. Danko was subsequently arrested. She was also found to be in possession of Oxycodone that was not in a container or prescribed to her. Danko was charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree, a felony and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, a misdemeanor. She was also issued a ticket for Driving While Using a Mobile Phone. Danko was released on at Appearance Ticket returnable to the Town of Hunter Court on March 2, 2022, at 2 p.m.
