State Police arrest a Newburgh man for Promotion of a Sexual Performance by a Child

PRESS RELEASE
The Orange County Child Abuse Unit in conjunction with State Police Montgomery Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and Troop F Computer Crimes Unit (CCU) announce the arrest of Gregory T. Liston, age 37 from Newburgh, NY.  LISTON was charged with two counts of Promotion of a Sexual Performance by a Child Less than 17 years old (NYS PL 263.15, D Felony) and three counts of Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child Less than 16 years old (NYS PL 263.16, E Felony).

The investigation was initiated as a result of a CyberTip.  Further investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of child pornography which led his arrest today, January 21, 2022

Gregory T. Liston was arraigned in the City of Newburgh Court before the Honorable City Judge Trachte. He was remanded to the custody of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in lieu of $10,000 cash, 10% of $50,000 partially secured surety bond, $10,000 insurance company bail bond. GREGORY is scheduled to reappear in the City of Newburgh Court on January 26, 2022 at 9 a.m. before Honorable City Judge MOHAMMED.
