State Police arrested a Monroe man for Grand Larceny

Monroe, NY – State Police Monroe announce the arrest of Ian D. Harriton, age 28 from the town of Monroe for the felonies of Grand Larceny 2nd degree, Falsify Business Records, and Forgery 2nd degree. He was arrested on January 20, 2022

Investigation revealed that while Harriton was the treasurer of the Monroe Lakeside Fire and Rescue Company, he stole over $400,000 for personal use. The larceny came to the attention of President of fire company when it was discovered that bills for the fire department were delinquent by several months.

Harriton was released on an appearance ticket.
