Betsy Robin Shields, 69, of Norwich, CT passed away on December 9, 2021. She was born to the late James and Helen (Andrews) Shields of Pawling, NY and was predeceased by her sisters Sandra, Margaret, and Ruth and her sons Jesse and Michael Finley. Betsy was raised in Pawling, NY and spent most of her adult life as a resident of Amenia, NY and Norwich, CT. Betsy is survived by her brother James Shields and wife Ramona Shields of King George, VA, daughter Heather Savage and her husband Frank Savage of Canaan, CT, daughter Jill Reinhard and her husband David Reinhard of Storrs, CT, son Douglas Finley of New Lebanon, NY, and daughter Leah Wessels of Willimantic, CT. Betsy also leaves behind 9 grandchildren: Dustin Holst-Grubbe, Seth, Hunter and Josh Finley, Michael and Layla Finley, Mason Orr, and Jackson and Charlotte Reinhard. Betsy enjoyed her career as blackjack dealer, loved to tag sale, and had a unique style for collecting tiny items. Most of all, she loved to talk on the phone with family and friends. Betsy had a one of kind sense of humor that will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace. Funeral services for Betsy are private and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
