State police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in the town of Lexington resulting in the death of a Grand Gorge, NY man

Town of Lexington- December 1, 2021 at approximately 8:11 p.m., State Police from the Catskill barracks responded to State Route 42 in the town of Lexington for a report of a pick-up truck in a stream with an unconscious operator. When troopers arrived, the Greene County Paramedics were on scene and informed the troopers that the operator of the vehicle was deceased. Investigation revealed that the pick-up, a Ford F-150 was traveling north on State Route 42 in the town of Lexington when the vehicle left the roadway off the east shoulder striking a utility pole and coming to rest in a creek. The operator of the vehicle was Douglas Cronk, age 53 from Grand Gorge, NY. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
