State police are investigating a garbage truck crashing into a home in Callicoon

Today, October 18, 2021 at approximately 7:00 a.m., troopers from the Liberty barracks responded to Fremont Street and Railroad Avenue for a report of a garbage truck into a residence. The operator of the truck, Carmine Quagliariello, age 56 from the town of Liberty was driving the truck when for unknown reasons was unable to stop and crashed into a local residence. The homeowner was in the residence at the time of the collision and was not injured. The operator of the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the collision is being investigated by the New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Unit.
