Obituary

Albert J. King, Sr., 80, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Carmel, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Putnam Hospital in Carmel, NY. Mr. King was a metal plater at EMF in Danbury, CT.

Born on February 28, 1941 in Proctor, VT, he was the son of the late Edmond and Eva (Tronzo) King. Mr. King was a graduate of Rutland High School Class of 1959 and attended CT Institute of Technology in New Haven, CT. On January 6, 1962 in Rutland, VT, he married Betty J. Loso who survives at home.

Mr. King was a former member of the Danbury Moose Club. He was also an avid NY Mets and JETS fan. Mr. King was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Dover Plains.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. King is survived by a daughter, Darlene DiTullio and her husband, Mark, of Dover Plains and two sons, Albert J. King, Jr. and his wife, Sheri, of Wingdale, NY and Pete J. King and his wife, Michelle, of Pleasant Valley, NY. He is also survived by a sister, Fern Drake of West Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Anastasia Mae, Barbarashley and Andrew C-R King and Vincent and Victoria DiTullio and four great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Mr. King was predeceased by twin brothers, Robert and Richard Hughes and a sister, Beverly Heir.

Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 121 Executive Dr, New Windsor, NY 12553.
