New York City man arrested for felony drug possession in Beekman

Beekman, New York – On April 7, 2021, the New York State Police arrested Donavan L. Porter, age 31, of New York, NY, for two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell, all class B felonies.

At approximately 2:05 p.m., Troopers initiated a vehicle stop of a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on Beekman Road in the town of Beekman.  Investigation discovered Porter was in possession of approximately 23.1 grams of cocaine, and 44.1 grams of Oxycodone.

Porter was arraigned before the town of East Fishkill Court and released on his own recognizance by the Honorable Judge Romig.  Porter is next scheduled to appear before the town of Beekman court on May 5, 2021, at 6:30 p.m.
