Obituary, Dolores Catherine Hollywood

Dolores Catherine Hollywood, 72, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Sharon Hospital, Sharon, CT.

Born in Port Chester, NY to Salvatore and Josaphine “Vivian” Galdieri on August 7,1948.

 

She married Roland J. Hollywood on September 17, 1995 in Danbury, CT.  They have made their home in Wingdale, NY for the past 25 years.

Dolores worked for several hospitals in the New York area and in Sharon Hospital, CT as a medical Biller. She worked for several Bus Touring companies as an escort. She also worked as a waitress and hostess in many restaurants and diners in CT and NY. She loved serving people.

She loved family gatherings, as she had a large and extended family; The ‘Rosebella Family Reunions’!  She loved to cook for her family holidays and  birthdays; almost every weekend for someone.  Dolores collected dolls from all over the world and displayed them in her home.  She collected glass works which are also displayed in her home. Dolores started a Christian Outreach Ministry; Women of Valor, to help people in need. She organized several youth rallies to help them live and make good decisions in their lives.

She is survived by her husband, Roland J. Hollywood, her son Christopher and his wife, Pamela, Moschillo of Wassaic, NY, her daughter and husband, Jennifer and Curtis Heagy of Fairland, IN, her stepson Jeffery Crocker and wife Jennifer in New Milford, CT and stepdaughter Tara-Lyn in Wingdale, NY. Sister-in-laws Lois Hollywood, Dover Plains, NY, and Beverly Knapp and her husband George Knapp, Boscawen, NH.

Dolores had eight grandchildren, Shane and Christopher Jr. Moschillo of NY, and Ashley and Aubrey Hamer of Indiana, Jake and Zander Crocker of CT, and Danielle and Anthony Wood of NY. Dolores had 9 brothers and sisters, Loretta Ricciardi of North Carolina, Robert Gatto of NY, Donna Colombo (her twin) of Florida, Lorraine Plastino of Florida, Deborah Mitchell and Joanne Gavard of California, and Gary Galdieri of Missouri. She was preceded by her brother Larry Plastino of Florida and her sister Florence of Texas. She was also a member of the Rosabella family of NY and had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Above all, Dolores was deeply loved by all her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her, especially her two beloved twin cats, Cleo and Josh, “the bookends”.

There are no services at this time. A memorial service will be planned in the Spring.
