Cortlandt, New York – On November 27, 2020, the New York State Police from the Cortlandt barracks arrested Jamie L. Diasparra, age 33, of Ossining, NY, for Assault in the 2^nd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3^rd degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 1^st degree, all class D felonies, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7^th degree, and Resisting Arrest, both class A misdemeanor.

On November 27, 2020, Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Lexington Avenue for a welfare check.  Investigation determined a domestic incident between two visitors occurred at the location two days prior on the evening of November 25, 2020 involving a firearm.  Further investigation determined, Jamie Diasparra, obtained a pistol from the residence she was visiting and shot the victim once.  The victim received non-life-threatening injuries and did not seek medical treatment.

Diasparra was located in Ossining and taken into custody after resisting arrest with the assistance of the Village of Ossining Police Department.

Diasparra was arraigned before the town of Cortlandt Court and released on her own recognizance.
