Valatie, New York – On October 10, 2020, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation from the Livingston barracks and the Troop K Computer Crimes Unit arrested Joseph M. Benvenuto, age 30, of Valatie, for five counts of Possession of a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.

Investigation by Livingston BCI and Troop K CCU led to the acquirement of a search warrant for the residence of Benvenuto granted by Columbia County Court.  Further investigation discovered child pornography in the possession of Benvenuto.

Benvenuto was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Kinderhook Court on October 27, 2020, at 5:00 p.m.
