Pawling Rotary Brings the Community Together for Kids and Seniors

In the past week, the Pawling Rotary Club partnered with Pawling Recreation to bring two events to the community. The second family Movie Night was a big hit, with thirty-one families braving the chilly evening temperatures to enjoy the family movie classic, ET. Lippolis Electric, Emery & Webb Insurance, O’Connor’s, and Taco’s & Cones contributed to the fun with dollars, food and snacks. Once again, Rotary provided goody bags, for all the kids.
Last Tuesday, September 22nd, Rotary sponsored the Senior Luncheon at Lakeside park. Thirty-five seniors enjoyed an individually pre-packed picnic lunch at the pavilion, with sunshine aplenty and social distancing practiced. Lippolis Electric, Putnam Ridge, Fountain Plumbing, Imperial Castle Toy Shop, Pest Guard LLC, and Hyatt Pump Service, contributed financially to bring this event to fruition.

Lori Johnson, Rotary President, remarked, “Amazing how many people have called me to sponsor from the e-mail that the Pawling Chamber sent out!!” Rotary wishes to thank the Pawling Chamber of Commerce and all the local business whose assistance and donations made these events possible.
