Berkshire Taconic’s Northeast Dutchess Fund Offers Grants for Nonprofit Relief and Immigrant Support in Northeast Dutchess County

Sheffield, Mass. — Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation’s Northeast Dutchess Fund is currently accepting applications for two competitive grant programs that will support nonprofits serving residents of northeast Dutchess County. The fund’s committee is considering applications from nonprofits impacted by the pandemic for unrestricted general operating support, as well as organizations that aim to develop new programs or expand services for immigrants. Applications are due Tuesday, Sept. 8.

General Operating Support for Nonprofits

The Northeast Dutchess Fund is partnering with the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley to provide unrestricted general operating support to nonprofits serving residents of northeast Dutchess County. Grants of up to $10,000 will help organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic achieve their missions and plan for recovery. These flexible grants will support an organization’s ongoing administrative and infrastructure costs and ability to maintain existing, effective programs.

Apply online at CommunityFoundationsHV.org/PivotGrants by Sept. 8. The Northeast Dutchess Fund will review additional requests for initiatives that fall outside of these parameters, such as capital projects or ongoing program support, in a separate grant application. Email grants@berkshiretaconic.org for consideration.

NEDCorps 2.0 Immigrant Support Grants

Nonprofits, municipalities, community organizations or civic entities serving residents of northeast Dutchess County may apply for grants that aim to increase financial self-sufficiency among immigrants and strengthen the nonprofit infrastructure that supports the area’s growing immigrant community.

Grants of up to $10,000 will be awarded to develop new programs or expand services for immigrants living in northeast Dutchess towns. These grants are part of NEDCorps 2.0, an expanded program of the Northeast Dutchess Fund that is focused on reducing poverty through targeted support for immigrants, low-income families and young adults transitioning from high school to work. Apply online at BerkshireTaconic.org/Grants by Sept. 8.

The Northeast Dutchess Fund supports nonprofit organizations that serve the towns of Amenia, Dover, North East, Pine Plains, Stanford and Washington, the villages of Millerton and Millbrook, and the hamlets of Wassaic, Wingdale and Clinton Corners.
