Updated: State Police investigate a disturbance in Kinderhook during a protest

July 17, 2020 – Update: Kinderhook, New York – The New York State Police have determined the gun in possession of the homeowners was legally possessed and the incident which was captured on video obtained by police did not reveal any violation of law.

 

Kinderhook, New York – On July 11, 2020, the New York State Police responded to the village of Kinderhook for a report of a disturbance.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., during a march through the village of Kinderhook, protesters reported two Kinderhook subjects initiated a verbal argument while armed with a handgun.  State Police personnel were called and responded to the incident.

At this time, there have been no arrests and this investigation remains ongoing.
