Dover, New York – On May 2, 2020, the New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks in conjunction with the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center arrested Daniel Laporte, age 34, of Albany, NY, for Predatory Sexual Assault Against a Child, a class A-II felpony.

On April 29, 2020, in the town of Dover the State Police were notified of a possible sexual assault against a child.  Investigation discovered Daniel Laporte on multiple occasions sexually assaulted a child under the age of thirteen.

Laporte was arraigned before the town of Dover Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
