Rhinebeck man arrested for domestic violence

Rhinebeck, New York – On April 26, 2020, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Stephen J. Brind, age 75, of Rhinebeck, for Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and Menacing in the 3rd degree, a class B misdemeanor.

On April 26, 2020, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to a domestic dispute.  An investigation found Stephen Brind entered a home unlawfully and threatened to kill the victim.  The dispute became physical, before Brind fled the scene as the victim called the State Police.

Stephen Brind was arraigned before the town of Milan Court, and released on his own recognizance.  Brind’s next court date is to be determined by the village of Rhinebeck Court.
