Pair arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle in Westchester County, third suspect still being sought.

PRESS RELEASE

Harrison, NY – On April 19, 2020, at approximately 1:45 p.m., State Police responded to assist a NYS H.E.L.P. truck with a disabled vehicle on I-95 in the town of Harrison, Westchester County.

 

When the Trooper arrived on the scene, three individuals ran from the vehicle, climbed a fence, and fled on foot.  Two of the subjects were located and detained during an organized search that included Town of Harrison Police Department and Westchester County Police Department Aviation.  The third subject was not located.  During the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle, a 2013 Ford Explorer, was reported stolen to the NYPD’s 104th Precinct.

 

Delonte S. Cole, 21, of Bayshore, NY and Angelli Ortiz Rodriguez, 23, of Brooklyn, NY were transported and processed at SP Hawthorne where they were subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree; a Class D Felony.

 

Both Cole and Rodriguez were issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Harrison Court on June 9, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. and released.

 

The investigation is still ongoing.  More information will be released as it becomes available.
