Vito J. Ritch, 82, of Poughkeepsie, NY, formerly of Port Chester, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at his home in Poughkeepsie. He will be remembered as the best friend to many in the Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District where he worked as a maintenance mechanic for many years.
Born on September 1, 1937 in Port Chester, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Josephine (Paulo) Ritch. Mr. Ritch proudly served in the US Army from 1956-58.
He is survived by his loving partner Kathleen M. Klein of Poughkeepsie; a son, David and a sister, Virginia. He is also survived by nieces, Stacey and Lauri; a nephew, Joseph and their families. Besides his parents, Mr. Ritch was predeceased by a son, Wayne.
