*Update:  Hyde Park, New York – Thanks to public assistance investigative leads were developed resulting in the arrest of John J. VanLeuven, age 27, of Hyde Park, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, a class E felony, Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, and multiple vehicle and traffic law infractions. *

Hyde Park, New York – The New York State Police from the SP Rhinebeck barracks are attempting to identify the pictured male who fled a hit-and-run motor vehicle crash in the town of Hyde Park.

Investigation determined the vehicle operated by the pictured male, a 2010 Toyota Corolla, with New York registration HBH6474, was previously reported stolen.  Security footage was located at the nearby Stop & Shop, 3999 Albany Post Road, and it was discovered the male also stole a cart full of merchandise.
