Wappingers Falls Man Charged in Larceny Investigation

The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Curtis A. Parks, age 48 of Wappingers Falls, in connection with a recent larceny investigation.

Investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, in conjunction with the Investigations Division of the Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services, has revealed that Mr. Parks illegally obtained $29,817 in daycare provider payments between October 2015 and May 2017 by allegedly failing to disclose past arrests that would have made him ineligible to receive said payments.

Mr. Parks was arrested on 10/22/19 and charged with Grand Larceny 3rd degree, which is a felony. After being processed he was arraigned at the City of Poughkeepsie Court and released to reappear on 11/25/19 at 9:00 am.

As with any criminal case, the charges described above are merely accusations and Mr. Parks is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
