Investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, in conjunction with the Investigations Division of the Dutchess County Department of Community and Family Services, has revealed that Ms. Walcott illegally obtained $21,058 in SNAP benefits between January 2011 and December 2016 by allegedly concealing the fact that she co-owned property while reporting that she was paying rent.

Ms. Walcott was arrested on 9/27/19 and charged with Welfare Fraud 3rd degree, which is a felony. After being processed she was arraigned at the City of Poughkeepsie Court and released to reappear on 10/15/19 at 9:00 am.
