Dutchess County Veterans’ Services Begins Outreach At Farmers Markets
As part of the ongoing effort to reach out to as many veterans as possible in our community, Dutchess County’s Division of Veterans’ Services will be attending farmers markets throughout Dutchess this fall.
- Friday, Sept. 13th, 3pm-7: 30 pm – Amenia Farmers Market at Amenia Town Hall, 4988 NYS Rt. 22, Amenia NY
- Sunday, Oct. 13th, 11am-3pm – Dover Farmers Market at 9 School St, Dover Plains NY
- Saturday, Oct. 26th, 10am-2pm – Millerton Farmers Market at Millerton Methodist Church, 6 Dutchess Ave, Millerton NY
This is part of a larger countywide effort to connect with veterans and their families who don’t actively interact with the traditional VFW and American Legion communities. Veterans’ Services is seeking to connect our heroes with partner agencies including Mental Health America, Vet2Vet, Westcop, Hudson Valley Regional Community Health Center and so many more.
Veterans’ Services will be on hand to answer any questions and help link up local veterans with needed services. Stop by, grab some locally grown snacks for the weekend, and say hi to your Dutchess County public servants!
