PRESS RELEASE

Philmont, New York – On April 13, 2015, New York State Police from the Livingston barracks charged 24-year-old Lewis E. McNamee, IV, of Hudson, New York, with Operating a Motor Vehicle Impaired by Drugs, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers stopped the vehicle McNamee was driving on Church Street for failing to maintain its lane of travel. While interviewing McNamee, Troopers observed clued that indicated he was impaired at the time of the stop.

A Drug Recognition Expert was used to confirm that McNamee was under the influence of drugs.

A passenger in the vehicle, Don Fax, 45 years old, of Catskill, New York, was arrested and charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. With the assistance of State Police Canine Cahill, Fax was found to possess heroin, marihuana and Clonazepam.

McNamee and Fax were issued appearance tickets ordering them to appear before the Town of Claverack Court on April 21, 2015.
