Pawling’s “Music By The Lake” Announces 2019 Free Summer Concert Schedule

2019 marks the 14th year of Pawling’s “Music By The Lake” free summer concerts, presented since 2006 by the Pawling Recreation Department. We are adding an additional concert this season for a total of 5, featuring top-notch bands – some old favorites, some new bands – and a special celebration of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock.

July 13 – “Fat City Rockers” What do you get when you mix rockabilly with surf music, and throw in some rocking blues? You get “Fat City Rockers”, of course! Making their second appearance at “Music By The Lake”, “Fat City Rockers” is a high-energy, three piece group whose performance last year was one of the highlights of our season!

July 20 – “Back To The Garden 1969” A special bonus show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock! A favorite of Pawling concert-goers, the band brings “The Woodstock Experience” to Lakeside Park, performing a wide variety of classic songs associated with Woodstock. The musical performances are a tribute to the artists who made Woodstock great, and are authentically performed in the style of those artists.

July 27 – “Willa And Company” Making her first appearance at Music By The Lake, NY State Blues Hall of Fame inductee, singer and songwriter Willa Vincitore’s songwriting is an eclectic mix of blues, soul, rock, funk and (occasionally) pop. Willa spent the early part of her stage career backing Chris O’Leary (Levon Helm’s Barn Burners), but she’s been performing on her own since 2013 with her band “Willa And Company”, a collection of extraordinary musicians.

August 17 – “Richie Ranno All Stars” Led by guitarist/vocalist Richie Ranno (formerly of the band “Stories” who had a #1 hit with the song “Brother Louie”), the All Stars also features guitarist/vocalist Chris Palmerini, who has previously appeared at Music By The Lake with the “Annie Mash Trio”, bassist Chris Tristram, and drummer Frank Colonato. The All Stars cover a wide variety of their favorite songs highlighted by the dueling guitar solos of virtuosos Ranno and Palmerini.

Finally, on August 31, The Greyhoundswill once again close the Music By The Lake 2019 concert season. With their straight-ahead roots rock‘n’roll, the dynamic Greyhounds are the perfect band to end our season, and will no doubt have you up on your feet dancing!!

Admission to all concerts is FREE! The concerts will take place on Saturday nights from 6 to 8pm at Lakeside Park. Concerts will be held rain or shine – if the weather is bad, concerts will be held indoors in the Lathrop building at Lakeside Park.

So bring your picnic baskets, blankets and folding chairs and enjoy great performances at “Music By The Lake 2019”!
