Chatham man charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated following crash investigation

Chatham, New York – On April 5, 2015, New York State Police from the New Lebanon barracks arrested 57-year-old Mark M. Washburn, of Chatham, New York, for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched to investigate a property damage auto accident that occurred on Rock City Road. When officers arrived on scene, they located a 1991 BMW, but the operator of the vehicle had left the area. Washburn was located walking a short distance from the scene of the crash and was found to be intoxicated.

Washburn supplied a positive breath sample that revealed a Blood Alcohol Content of .18% and was issued tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Chatham Court on April 22, 2015.
