Cocaine found following a traffic stop on Sprain Brook Parkway

Yonkers, New York – On April 3, 2019, the New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks arrested Ignacio M. Artiles Santana, age 25, of Bronx, NY, and Aisha Ahmad, age 23, of Yonkers, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5^th degree, a class D felony.

At approximately 2:20 p.m., Troopers conducted a traffic stop of a 2015 Honda Accord on the Sprain Brook Parkway for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.  An investigation found the occupants possessed approximately 3 grams of cocaine.

Artiles Santana and Ahmad were arraigned before the village of Hastings-on-Hudson Court.  Ahmad was released on her own recognizance to appear before the city of Yonkers Court on April 18, 2019, at 9:30 a.m.  Artiles Santana was remanded to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or secure bond and was scheduled to appear before the city of Yonkers Court on April 4, 2019, at 9:00 a.m.
