Pawling Rotary Honored by American Legion

Jerry Christensen, a member of Pawling’s American Legion Hasler-Kamp Post #215. attended a recent Rotary meeting and presented an award of appreciation to the Pawling Rotary Club for their support of the Legion’s work honoring veterans, providing scholarships to local youngsters and supporting Pawling’s Boy Scouts. Mr. Christensen, a long time member of the Pawling Legion Post #215, spoke briefly about the organization, and acknowledged that this plaque of appreciation was the first ever awarded to any Pawling organization by this post. He thanked members of The Pawling Rotary Club for choosing the American Legion as a Rotary grant recipient, highlighting the many ways that this funding makes the Legion’s work possible.
