Obituary, Marilyn Lund

Marilyn Lund, 96, a Pawling resident for 60 years, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at Putnam Ridge, Brewster, NY.

Prior to Pawling, Marilyn lived in Wingdale, NY.  Born in Altona, NY on November 2, 1922, she grew up in Altona and was the daughter of the late Fay Stiles and Kanema (Reynolds) Stiles.  She was the wife of the late Ellsworth (Al) Lund who passed away in 1985.  Before she retired, she worked at the former Harlem Valley State Hospital, Wingdale as an attendant.

Marilyn was a regular at the Pawling Senior Citizens Nutrition Site and a volunteer at the Pawling Resource Center.  She loved sewing, knitting, quilting, and embroidery, doing jigsaw puzzles, and recently doing paint-by-number paintings.

Marilyn is survived by her two sons, Ellsworth Lund of Forestville, CA and Brian Lund and his wife, Simonetta, of Natick, Ma, and two grandchildren, Philip Earl Lund, and Elena Renee Lund.

A small private service is planned in Altona in the Spring.
