Obituary, Betty J. Clinch

 

Pine Plains – Betty J. Clinch, 89, passed away on Friday, February 01, 2019 at The Baptist Home in Rhinebeck, NY.

She was born on January 16, 1930, in Poughkeepsie, NY the daughter of Foster and Myra (Selfridge) Hoysradt.

She was an avid bowler and a member of the Wildcat League in Gt. Barrington, MA.

Betty was a sales clerk for over twenty years at B.H. Delson’s in Millerton, NY; she also was a waitress at the Village Diner at Gateway in Millerton and drove a school bus for the Pine Plains Central School District.

Survivors include her children, Robert W. (Lynne) Clinch of Pine Plains, NY; Carol (John) Hart of Pine Plains, NY; Kathy (Paul) Swenson of Salt Point, NY; two sisters, Marion Leffingwell of Hudson, NY; Betty-Lou Shufelt of Ancramdale, NY; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Walter N. Clinch, a sister, Doris Frink, a daughter, Sally Kelly and a grandson, David A. Cookingham Jr.

Calling hours are Wednesday, February 6, 2019, from 10 to 12 Noon at  7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY.

Funeral service will begin at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Pastor William Mayhew officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Plains Rescue Squad PO Box 100 Pine Plains, NY 12567.

The family would like to thank the dedicated and caring staff at the Baptist Home and especially those who made her last days comfortable.
