Bar fight results in three arrests for gang assault

On Saturday, January 19, 2019, Troopers from the Middletown and Greenville barracks investigated a report of an assault at the Tamaqua Tavern located in Westtown, NY.  The investigation revealed that a 43-year-old male had received serious injuries after being assaulted by three men.  The victim will require several surgeries in an attempt to repair a severely broken jaw.  He remains hospitalized at Orange Regional Medical Center.  On January 22nd, after reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses, investigators arrested Pearce Conway age 24, Patrick Conway age 25, both of Westtown, NY and Tyler Smith age 25,  all of Middletown, NY.

All three were charged with Gang Assault 1st Degree, a Class B Felony.  Smith was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief 4th Degree, a Misdemeanor.  All three were arraigned by Town of Minisink Justice Paul Lattimer and released on their own recognizance to reappear at a later date.
