State police arrest 19 motorists for driving while impaired

On January 18, 2019, State Police Haverstraw arrested Elliot Johnson, 27 of Garnerville, NY for DWI. He was traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Rockland when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Montgomery arrested Lauren Baker, 29 of Walden, NY for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 17K in the town of Newburgh when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Montgomery arrested Angel Rojas, 41 of Newburgh, NY for DWI. Troopers were assisting the City of Newburgh Police with a traffic stop. While interviewing Rojas, the operator of the vehicle, it was determined that he struck a parked vehicle on Liberty Street and came to a rest on Farrington Avenue in the city of Newburgh. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Coxsackie arrested Baltazar Santiago, 49 of Ravena, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 385 in the town of Athens when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Kingston arrested Travis Dyer, 26 of Catskill, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 32 in the town of Catskill when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Kingston arrested Geanine Kane, 53 of Mt Tremper, NY for DWI. She was traveling on State Route 212 in the town of Woodstock when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Liberty arrested Lakin Castillo, 28 of South Fallsburg, NY for DWI. State troopers were investigating a vehicle crash on Old Monticello Road and State Route 52 in the town of Liberty involving Castillo. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Wurtsboro arrested John Chinchar, 58 of Saddle Brook, NJ for DWI. He was traveling on Wurtsboro Mountain Road in the town of Mamakating when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 18, 2019, State Police Hamptonburgh arrested Jorge Guerra Rosales, 34 of Newburgh, NY for DWI. While on patrol, troopers observed a disabled vehicle with front end damage on First Street in the city of Newburgh. While interviewing the operator of the vehicle, Guerra Rosales, it was determined that he was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
On January 19, 2019, State Police Monroe arrested Arthur Waitres Johannes, 26 of Rock Hill, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 17 in the town of Blooming Grove when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 19, 2019, State Police Florida arrested Bogdan Gaina, 40 of Sunnyside, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 17 in the town of Blooming Grove when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 19, 2019, State Police Florida arrested Richard Pennings, 34 of Warwick, NY for DWI. He was traveling on Jessup Switch Road in the village of Florida when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 19, 2019, State Police Middletown arrested Jacquelynne Obanks, 27 of Pine Bush, NY for DWI. She was traveling on Wickham Avenue in the city of Middletown when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 19, 2019, State Police Hamptonburgh arrested Genaro Parra, 22 of Newburgh, NY for DWI. He was traveling on Little Britian Road in the city of Newburgh when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 19, 2019, State Police Haverstraw arrested Filipp Khmelnitski, 30 of Flushing, NY for DWI. He was traveling on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in the town of Clarkstown when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol and was subsequently arrested.
On January 20, 2019, State Police Haverstraw arrested Jason L. Bates II, 31 of East Rutherford, NJ for DWAI Drugs. Troopers responded to a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lane in the town of Stony Point. Troopers arrived and found the vehicle in the center median facing southbound near the Visitors Center in the town of Stony Point. As the troopers approached the vehicle the operator exited the vehicle and became combative. After a physical confrontation, troopers placed Bates into custody. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs and was subsequently arrested. Bates was additionally charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd (misdemeanor), Disorderly Conduct (Violation), Assault 2nd Degree (felony), Harassment 2nd (violation) and resisting arrest (Misdemeanor). Bates was remanded to Rockland County Jail in lieu of bail.
On January 21, 2019, State Police Highland arrested Ashley Derosa, 20 of Wallkill, NY for DWI. Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on State Route 32 in the town of Plattekill. While interviewing Derosa, the operator of the vehicle, it was determined that she was impaired by alcohol and she was subsequently arrested.
On January 21, 2019, State Police Coxsackie arrested Daniel Sorozan, 43 of Coxsackie, NY for DWAI Drugs. He was traveling on County Route 9 in the town of Coxsackie when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. An investigation revealed that he was impaired by drugs and was subsequently arrested.
On January 21, 2019, State Police Coxsackie arrested Joseph Hunt, 39 of Carmel, NY for DWI. He was traveling on State Route 23A in the town of Hunter when his vehicle became disabled. Troopers stopped to render assistance and determined the operator of the vehicle, Hunt, was impaired by alcohol and he was subsequently arrested.
