Pleasant Valley – James (Jim) Edward Knechtel, age 86, of Pleasant Valley, NY & Lakeland, FL, passed away peacefully in Minnesota on December 21, 2018, with his daughters by his side.
Preceded in death by his wife Jacqueline (Jackie) Knechtel (Nenni), parents Robert and Virginia Knechtel, brother Ronald (Geraldine) Knechtel, and sister Virginia (Thomas) Christmas.
He is survived by his daughters Terri (Mark) Toner, Dana Knechtel, sister Nancy Haight, grandsons Derek Szule, Zachary Toner, Alexander Toner and many nieces and nephews.
Jim has many dear friends in the Millbrook and Pleasant Valley areas who he enjoyed visiting in his retirement years. He worked and made many friends at IBM in Poughkeepsie, several of whom also kept in touch with him throughout his life. Dad will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
