State Police investigate a fatal crash in the town of Blooming Grove

On January 16, 2019 at approximately 1:07 p.m., SP Monroe troopers responded to a one car motor vehicle crash on State Route 17 eastbound in the area of Exit 129. Troopers located a 2007 Dodge Caliber down an embankment.The operator of the vehicle, Devon Persaud, age 20 from Queens Village, NY was deceased from injuries stemming from the accident. There were no passengers in the vehicle. The investigation to the cause of the crash is ongoing.
