POUGHKEEPSIE MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING DONATION-BOX

 

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports the arrest of a Poughkeepsie man, after the man allegedly stole a Donation-Box containing money from the Appalachian Market, located in the Town of Philipstown. On January 10, 2019 Deputy Benjamin Levine and Deputy Matthew Boscia were dispatched to the Appalachian Market, for a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was reported that on the night of January 9, 2019, the Putnam County SPCA Police Donation Money-Box was stolen from the store. Pursuant to a subsequent investigation, Christopher Rodriguez, age 20, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by Deputy Levine, and charged with Petit Larceny (Class “A” Misdemeanor). Mr. Rodriguez was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and subsequently arraigned in the Town of Kent Justice Court, on behalf of the Town of Philipstown Justice Court. Mr. Rodriguez is due back in the Town of Philipstown Justice Court on a future date.
