Greenport man arrested following a domestic dispute

Greenport, New York – On December 27, 2018, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Bruce Hotaling Jr., age 42, of Greenport, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3^rd degree, a class D felony, and Menacing in the 2^nddegree, a class A misdemeanor.

At approximately 8:00 p.m., Troopers were dispatched by Columbia County 911 to a domestic disturbance involving a suspect armed with a knife on Joslen Boulevard in the town of Greenport.  An investigation found Hotaling during the course of the domestic dispute used a knife to threaten the victim’s life.

Hotaling was arraigned before the town of Claverack Court, and released on his own recognizance to appear before the Greenport Town Court on January 7, 2019, at 3:30 p.m.
