By Susan Stone

The Pawling Rotary Club distributed dictionaries to the students of the third grade at Pawling Elementary School on November 14th.  Pawling Rotary provides dictionaries to each third grader in Mizzentop Day School, as well.  Dictionaries are provided annually to students as part of Rotary’s mission to support community youngsters.  The books, personalized with the assistance of Kate Calandro at the Elementary School, are enthusiastically anticipated by students and teachers alike.

In attendance at this year’s presentation ceremony was Ann Godesky, Club President, Richard Harshbarger, Project Chair, Jeff Asher, Club Secretary and Rotary immediate Past President, Stephanie Mclaughlin (Smith) Board Member, and Neena McBaer, Pawling Library Children’s Program Coordinator. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. William Ward, Superintendent, Pawling Central School District, and Dr. Debra Kirkus, Principal of the Pawling Elementary School.
