Town of Pleasant Valley Motor Vehicle/Pedestrian Fatal
Pleasant Valley, New York – On April 3rd, 2015, at approximately 9:00 PM, Troopers from the New York State Police Poughkeepsie barracks were dispatched to State Route 44 in the Town of Pleasant Valley for subjects fighting in the roadway. Moments later, Troopers were advised that two subjects were struck by a motor vehicle at that same location. Investigation revealed that an eastbound vehicle struck and killed an adult male and critically injured an adult female. The investigation is ongoing and updates will be made available upon notification of the families.
