Don’t Forget to Shop Local on
Small Business Saturday November 24th
Poughkeepsie… Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro encourages residents and visitors to support our local community by taking part in Small Business Saturday in Dutchess County on November 24th. Small Business Saturday is a national event held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The movement is dedicated to supporting the local businesses that help give our neighborhoods character and make our home special. The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce is once again partnering with American Express to highlight local businesses in our community.
County Executive Molinaro said, “Dutchess County is proud to be home to so many local artisans, small business owners, and entrepreneurs who are all part of what makes us ‘Distinctly Dutchess.’ By supporting our local businesses, especially the growing number of farmer’s markets in our region, on Small Business Saturday, and all year long, residents and visitors can help build a thriving economy and community. Our Think Dutchess Alliance for Business supports the growth of local businesses, bringing jobs and innovation to our local Main Streets across the county. When shopping for that perfect something for someone important in your life this holiday season, don’t forget to ‘Shop Small’ and ‘Think Dutchess’ and consider the unique offerings available at local businesses close to home.”
