Dutchess County Veterans Day Ceremony
Sunday, November 11th
All residents are invited to attend Dutchess County’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony, held at the Dutchess County War Memorial at the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie, on Sunday, November 11th at 11 a.m. The event will gather local veterans from several eras and will include an invocation, presentation of colors, a benediction, remarks from local leaders and a wreath presentation.
Veterans Day is a national holiday intended to be a celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. Local municipalities throughout Dutchess County will also be hosting Veterans Day ceremonies; click here for a list of local community events to honor those who have served our nation.
