Beacon man arrested for possession of cocaine with intent to sell

PRESS RELEASE
Beacon, New York – On November 1, 2018 the New York State Police Troop K Community Narcotics Enforcement Team (CNET), with the assistance of the NYSP Special Operations Response Team (SORT), arrested Derrick B. Lorick Sr., age 55, of Beacon, for Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Subsequent to a State Police investigation a search warrant was executed at Lorick’s residence on the morning of November 1, 2018.  Approximately 11.5 grams of cocaine, narcotics packaging, and weighing equipment were located.  State Police members arrested Lorick at his residence without incident.

Lorick was arraigned in the City of Beacon court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 bail $40,000 bond.  Lorick is next scheduled to appear before the Court on November 7, 2018, at 10:00 a.m.
