State Police from Dover Plains arrest 2 in Underage Drinking Initiative

Dover, New York – On October 22, 2018, the New York State Police from the Dover Plains barracks conducted an Underage Drinking Initiative (UDI) at ten locations in the towns of North East, Amenia and Dover, all in Dutchess County.

Two establishments were found in violation, and arrests were made for the sale of alcoholic beverages to an underage individual.

Courtney A. Heiser, age 20, of North East, employed at Cumberland Farms on Main Street in the village of Millerton, was arrested for Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage, a class A misdemeanor.  Heiser was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of North East Court on October 30, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.

Syed H. Raza, age 59, of Dover, employed at the Gulf station on State Route 22 in the town of Dover, was arrested for Prohibited Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage, a class A misdemeanor.  Raza was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Dover Court on November 1, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.

Eight establishments were found to be in compliance with State Law.
