KENT SINGERS RECRUITING NEW SINGERS

Love to sing?  The Kent Singers is recruiting singers in all four parts for the 2018-2019 season.

Based in Kent CT for over 45 years, the Kent Singers perform classical and contemporary choral works often accompanied by a professional orchestra and soloists.  Our dynamic musical director  Knox Sutterfield, trained at the Yale School of Music,  has the unique ability to lift amateur singers to the highest level of performance.

The first rehearsal for the December Concert Make We Merry, a festive program of traditional and contemporary carols from around the world is Wednesday,  September 5th from  7:00 – 9:00 pm at  St. Andrew’s Church in Kent.

NEW this season is a special Saturday Open Rehearsal and pot-luck to introduce Bach’s magnificent St. John Passion to both current and potential members.  The Kent Singers will perform this dramatic masterpiece with professional soloists and a period-instrument orchestra on June 16, 2019.  The rehearsal is September 22 from 10-3pm at St. John’s Church on the  New Milford Green. This rehearsal will be broken into two sessions, 10-12 and 1-3 with a pot-luck lunch break in between.  This open rehearsal is a perfect opportunity to “try us out”.

Come experience the joy of music making with an enthusiastic ensemble of 30+ singers hailing from  Litchfield, Northern Fairfield, and neighboring Dutchess County!
