State Police seek public’s assistance in solving a robbery in Wappinger

PRESS RELEASE

Wappinger, New York – The New York State Police in Wappinger are investigating a robbery that occurred on August 30, 2018, at approximately 11:10 a.m., on Scarborough Lane, in the Town of Wappinger, NY.

An investigation revealed that an unknown middle-aged male, approximately 5 feet 07 inches, average build, short dark hair,  wearing a dark gray short sleeved button down shirt, blue pants, and dark shoes came to the address posing as a Verizon employee.  He reportedly did not display any credentials or any type of Verizon insignia. The unknown male told the resident that he had a “special upgrade package” to offer. The male then entered the residence and pushed the victim before stealing her wallet.
