Lynn Pontez Taylor, 57, of Copake, NY passed away on August 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness at Rhode Island Hospital, in Providence, RI. She was born in the Bronx on December 27, 1960, and was the daughter of the late Harold and Agnes Pontez.
Lynn was a graduate of Millbrook High School. On November 27, 2006, she married Thomas Taylor whom survives her at home. She was employed at George M. Taylor and Son, Inc. as an Executive Assistant for many years until her retirement in 2013.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Agnes; daughters, Kristin Jackson and her husband, Chris, Ashley Parsley and her husband, Adam and Taylor Handke; stepsons, Mark and his wife, Allison Taylor, Kevin and his wife, Sara Taylor, and Daniel and his wife, Jessica Taylor; 9 grandchildren; brother, Harold Pontez and his wife, Annie; sister, Cathy and her husband, Rob Stickles; several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Maggie, along with many friends. Lynn was predeceased by her father, Harold Pontez, and grandson, JonahLynn.
Visitation for Lynn will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, from 4 to 7 PM, at3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook, NY 12545. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 10 AM from St. Joseph’s Church, 15 North Ave., Millbrook, NY 12545. Interment will be private.
