Deputies of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrests of Everton A. Dunn, 56 years old, of Port Ewen, NY and Denise E. Thomason, 44 years old, of Kingston, NY.
Thomason was charged with the misdemeanor of Criminal Contempt in the second degree and Dunn was charged with the misdemeanor of Obstructing Governmental Administration in the second degree.
On March 26th, 2015, Deputies assisted Ulster County CPS with a residence check at a location in the Town of Esopus. It was reported to CPS that an Order of Protection was being violated and possibly placing a protected party in danger. Upon arrival at the residence, Deputies and CPS employees made contact with Dunn, who through his actions attempted to conceal Thomason in the residence. Thomason’s presence in the residence violated the Order of Protection.
Both defendants were taken into custody and transported to the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office Esopus Substation. Dunn was released with an appearance ticket to appear in Town of Esopus Court on March 30th, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. Thomason was arraigned before Judge Manicone in the Town of Esopus Court and released on her own recognizance to re-appear on April 20th, 2015 at 4:30 p.m.
Deputies from the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Jose Castro, 33 years old, and Israel Vazquez, 48 years old, both of Kingston, NY.
Mr. Castro was charged with the misdemeanors of Driving While Intoxicated and Operating a Motor Vehicle with Blood Alcohol Content of Greater Than .08% and the traffic infraction of Speed in Zone.
Mr. Vazquez was charged as a Fugitive From Justice.
On March 28th, 2015 at approximately 1:00 a.m., Deputies observed a vehicle traveling southbound on State Route 32 in the Town of Ulster at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated on State Route 32 in Rosendale and investigation revealed Mr. Castro to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Deputies also discovered Mr. Vazquez, a passenger in the vehicle, to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Rhode Island from 2012.
Mr. Castro was released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Ulster Court on April 8th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Vazquez was arraigned in the Town of Hurley Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending extradition to Rhode Island.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Town of Rosendale Police Department.
Deputies of the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office report the arrest of Anton L. Gibson, 32 years old, of Kingston, NY.
Gibson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony, the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana and the traffic infraction of Speed in Zone.
On the evening of March 27th, 2015, Deputies observed a vehicle operated by Gibson traveling at a high rate of speed on Wall Street near Henry Street. A traffic stop was conducted, and the odor of marihuana was noted to emanate from within the vehicle. Further investigation revealed Gibson to be in possession of approximately 8 grams of cocaine and a quantity of marihuana.
Gibson was taken into custody, transported to the Ulster County Law Enforcement Center and arraigned in Town of Hurley Justice Court. Gibson was remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail and $100,000 property bond.
