Red Hook man arrested for domestic violence

PRESS RELEASE

Red Hook, New York – On July 2, 2018, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Christopher Struse, age 32, of Red Hook, for two counts of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, all class A misdemeanors.

At approximately 9:00 p.m., the victim of domestic violence reported an incident to Troopers at SP Rhinebeck, who then patrolled to Whalesback Road in the town of Red Hook.  Investigation revealed Struse choked both the victim reporting the crime, and a child under the age of six.

Struse was arraigned before the village of Red Hook Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bond.  Struse is next scheduled to appear before the town of Red Hook Court on July 26, 2018, at 6:00 p.m.
