Obituary, Joan C. Scoralick

Joan C. Scoralick, a lifetime resident of Poughquag, NY passed away at her home Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the age of 85.

Born in Yonkers, NY on October 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Irene (Brennen) Scoralick.  A graduate of Arlington High School, Joan worked as a kitchen worker for the Arlington Central School District for many years.

Joan was a life-member of the Beekman Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and treasurer of the Beekman Fire Department Bingo Fund.

She is survived by her sister, Anna R. Baright of Poughquag; her niece June Bo and husband Chris and family of Poughquag, her nephew Robert Baright and family of Dover Plains, her niece Lynn Nichols and family of Poughquag, and nephew Brain Scoralick and family, also of Poughquag.

She is predeceased by her brother Fred Scoralick, former sheriff of Dutchess County.

Family and friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Thursday, July 5th 4-7 PM.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 6th at the funeral home at 10 AM.  Burial will follow in Beekman Cemetery, Poughquag, NY.
