Local Author Publishes 2nd Best Seller

Alexis Sterry, Pawling resident, recently released her newest book; a children’s illustrated story called the “The Dinosaur Game”. The book became a #1 bestseller on Amazon on June 30th, the day it was made available for purchase.

Alexis illustrated the pictures for the book while recovering from back surgery in April of this year. “I needed something to keep me from going crazy while resting.” Sterry said, “The story gave me something to focus on.”

The book is based on a movement game she invented for her 3 and 4-year-old Karate students many years ago. “I was trying to make warming up their body for class into something fun. I know pre-school children absolutely love dinosaurs; so I combined dinosaurs with exercises, and ‘The Dinosaur Game’ was born!”

Sterry’s first best selling book, “Babbling To Black Belt” was released in November of 2017. When her new book reached best-seller status Alexis said, “I’m so grateful to my friends and family. This was truly a labor of love and it is dedicated to all my students.”
